MARKINGS OF SUMMER

This project celebrates a collection of 22 books I read over the summer of 2024, reflecting the transformative power of daily reading and the immersive experience of storytelling. For 21 days straight, a bookmark was made for each book read over the span of my summer. Each bookmark incorporates elements unique to its respective books, such as meaningful quotes, symbols, or other distinctive features, capturing the essence of the story.
The project seeks to highlight the beauty and impact of these books while showcasing the artistry of annotation and design. By blending typography with illustration, the bookmarks will serve as both creative expressions and tributes to the narratives that brought such joy and inspiration.
